We've got plenty of pics and vids of Emily being happy and smiling and sort of laughing, but this seems to be the first time where she actually sounded like a normal person laughing
Here's a new video of Emily laughing and following Erin's direction and sticking out her tongue, or having good timing and making us think, that she's following Erin's directions. :)
The weather in Jax has been great lately, we think Fall might be here officially, but I'm sure it'll be 80 again next week.
Hopefully the video works - let me know if it won't play
November 01, 2010
Just posted some updated pics, things have been kinda crazy for a few weeks. The new album is "Pumpkin Patch" and I'll have Halloween pics posted in a few days as well
So, I realize that this is probably way too soon to pick out a daddy-daughter tune, but I had this one picked out before she was born in case it was a girl. (I had a dad and son one picked out as well) Here is a newborn video of some of the pics and vids that we've taken so far.
Emily went to her two week pediatrician appt and she was 10 pounds! The Dr. said everything looked good, so we'll go back in November.
Loving this weather and looking forward to wearing jeans and a sweater as soon as possible. And also looking forward to a surprise - a UGA football win.
Heading out with Erin on our first official date to...Five Guys Burgers and Fries! Nanna is coming over to watch her and I'm gonna try to get Erin to stay away for at least an hour...we'll see how that goes.
Thanks for all the cards, gifts, prayers, and congratulations from across the country from friends and family. We hope you'll have an opportunity to meet Emily in person before long, either with us being near you or vice versa.
Have a great weekend! (NEW - APPARENTLY MY AUDIO HAS BEEN DISABLED - I'M WORKING ON IT - IT WAS PAUL SIMON'S "FATHER AND DAUGHTER" - ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET THE MUSIC TO PLAY AGAIN?) NEWER - I have added the audio link to the bottom of the video, so where you see the bar that says Father and Daughter, click the play button on the left of the title, then click the play button for the video - enjoy! And just in case there is any question, I don't own the song, I didn't write the song, I didn't play the song, I like the song and it is being used for the sole purpose of showing off my daughter.
At 2:55 am this morning, we welcomed Emily Rose Stuckey into the world. Erin's water broke around 1pm on Monday afternoon. She called me at school and we met at the house, got our bags, and headed to the hospital. We got checked in and in a room around 5pm. The contractions were not very long and not very strong, so at about 9:30pm they started her on petocin. She moved from around 1cm to 3cm from 9:30pm to 12:00am. At 12:ooam, Erin got serious and the contractions got much longer and stronger. At 2am, when she was really getting tired, she was checked and they told her she was at 8cm and they began to prep the room for delivery. At 2:30am, our doctor came and in and Erin began doing some preliminary pushing. About 2:35am Erin started pushing for real, and at 2:55am, Emily joined us. Check out the pics in the photo album that are along the left side of my blog.
Baby is due in 4 days! With school starting back, things got a little crazy, so here are some older pics that didn't quite make it up - 36 weeks and the finished baby room
Also have a few baby's room pics

Here are the newest pics from Erin at 32 weeks, we've started our every two week doctors appts, so it's getting closer. We are done with our childbirth classes and are going for our hospital visit this week.
Erin and I spent last week at St. Pete Beach. I was at an IB conference and she was at...the pool, or the beach. It was an enjoyable week and I got some pics here plus a 30 second sunset video. It's pretty shaky, but the actual video is only 2:52, and I sped it up to make it watchable, still seems pretty quick for a sunset. I'll have to see if I can make it work.
This past weekend was busy at our house. The stroller and car seat arrived, as did the baby furniture. Unfortunately, yours truly was out golfing when the furniture arrived, so they didn't leave it, but said they would return on Tuesday and try to redeliver. We of course, would be working on Tuesday, so they wouldn't leave it again, and the cycle would continue. So my lovely wife, decided that we should go and pick up the furniture from the FedEx place. So we drove to North Lane Avenue, and picked up two very large boxes and headed back home. I spent this weekend working on the baby's room, and I haven't finished it quite yet, but here are a few pics of the stroller and baby seat, plus the BEFORE picture of how the room began.
