At 2:55 am this morning, we welcomed Emily Rose Stuckey into the world. Erin's water broke around 1pm on Monday afternoon. She called me at school and we met at the house, got our bags, and headed to the hospital. We got checked in and in a room around 5pm. The contractions were not very long and not very strong, so at about 9:30pm they started her on petocin. She moved from around 1cm to 3cm from 9:30pm to 12:00am. At 12:ooam, Erin got serious and the contractions got much longer and stronger. At 2am, when she was really getting tired, she was checked and they told her she was at 8cm and they began to prep the room for delivery. At 2:30am, our doctor came and in and Erin began doing some preliminary pushing. About 2:35am Erin started pushing for real, and at 2:55am, Emily joined us.
